Academy Announces 2022 Oscar Nominations

The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences today released the list of nominees for the 94th Academy Awards, recognizing cinematic achievements from the year 2021. These nominations identify films and individuals deemed outstanding in various categories by the Academy's voting body.

Ten films received nominations for Best Picture:
Belfast: A drama directed by Kenneth Branagh, detailing a young boy's experiences during a period of conflict in 1960s Northern Ireland.
